
Here I am again, seeking out those childhood memories. We all have some form of memories from our past, whether it be good or not so good, either way, they all form part of ourselves. I know my past has delt me some ups and downs, I have been able to learn from them.
One memory I have from my childhood, when I first started school. A couple of children tied me up and pelted me with stones and dirt. I ended up bruised, cuts and a broken nose. To this day I do not know the reason behind why this happened. The saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, names never hurt me", most likely came from taunts like this.
School was good apart from a few torments. I liked sports days, as these were family days, all getting involved.
One funny time was when I had my tonsils removed,I was 4yrs of age, my family had came to visit, after they left I was upset so I climbed out of my bed, walked from the hospital down town to the butchers shop!! I was found and taken back to the hospital.
Happy memories from my childhood were Christmas times. When those days Christmas was a family get together, Grandma, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins turned up. It was a traditional cooked dinner including the money boiled pudding served with custard and cream.
Other good memories for NannyOne, were living on the farm. Milking cows, help with shearing sheep, cooking for the workmen, listening to the sport on the radio. I also liked getting string, tying a piece of meat on the end and catching yabbies in th
